RESEARCH
My research programme examines how psychological processes emerge across environmental threats, social and educational conditions, digital environments, and performance settings, and through which mechanisms they relate to important outcomes.
This framework brings together topics ranging from climate anxiety and poverty-sensitive school counselling to cyberbullying and athlete psychology. Across these areas, I focus particularly on psychological mechanisms, contextual variation, cross-cultural comparison, and processes that may be amenable to intervention.
RESEARCH PROGRAMME

I examine the psychological consequences of climate change and the formation of environmental behaviour by considering emotional, cognitive, social-norm, and contextual processes together.

This line focuses on how counselling and educational processes intersect with structural and contextual conditions including poverty, trauma, social disadvantage, and inclusion.

I examine psychological functioning, distress, and performance processes in athletes, with particular interest in intervention-based and evidence-synthesis approaches. I connect this line with my applied experience in football settings.

CURRENT ANALYTICAL EMPHASIS
Using mediation, moderation, and multivariable models to examine not only whether variables are associated, but also the psychological processes through which those associations may arise.
Using comparative and multilevel approaches that place individual psychological processes and contextual indicators within the same analytical framework across countries and groups.
Moving beyond average effects to examine heterogeneity in psychological patterns through person-centred classifications and network-based models.
Integrating fragmented literatures through systematic review, meta-analysis, and evidence mapping while making the limits of the available evidence explicit.
METHODOLOGICAL PRINCIPLES
Multivariable models, psychometric evaluation, multilevel analysis, and advanced statistical approaches.
Case study methodology, qualitative analysis, and mixed-method designs when contextual and experiential processes require complementary forms of evidence.
R-based data processing, statistical modelling, and visualisation designed to be as reproducible as the research context permits.
Making analytical decisions, code, and research outputs traceable and verifiable when appropriate and feasible.
