ABOUT
I am a Research Assistant in the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program, Department of Educational Sciences, Ereğli Faculty of Education, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University.
A common thread across my academic work is the study of psychological processes together with the social, educational, environmental, cultural, and performance contexts in which they unfold. My training in guidance and psychological counselling provides the foundation for a research programme extending from poverty and school contexts to climate change, digital behaviour, and sport psychology.
I view research, teaching, and practice as mutually reinforcing domains. In my scientific work, I prioritise methodological rigour and reproducibility; in counselling and performance settings, I place equal value on the practical relevance of psychological knowledge.

My undergraduate teaching experience includes individual counselling practice, culturally responsive counselling, school guidance, educational psychology, and sport psychology. I use my counselling background as a foundation that keeps my research questions connected to applied and real-world contexts.
I work across quantitative, qualitative, and evidence-synthesis traditions. My research uses R-based analytical workflows, multivariable and multilevel models, case study methodology, systematic review, and meta-analysis.
SPORT & PSYCHOLOGICAL PERFORMANCE
Sport psychology is an area in which I combine research and teaching with applied experience. I have completed all three levels of the Turkish Football Federation’s Psychological Performance Consulting training and hold a UEFA Grassroots C coaching licence.
My coaching experience in amateur football helps me approach athlete psychology and psychological performance with attention not only to theory, but also to the day-to-day realities of performance environments.
